Climate risk and adaptation for fisheries in Namibia

This document is based on outcomes from research and workshops that aimed to co-develop approaches with policy makers to support climate adaptation of fisheries in Namibia.

The overall climate risk to each of the Namibian fishery sectors was assessed based on the combination of hazard exposure, species sensitivities, and socio-economic vulnerability. Key climate risks were used to inform a series of stakeholder workshops across Namibia to examine the robustness of the assessment and understand potential for adaptation measures.
