His Excellency Dr. Nangolo Mbumba, President of the Republic of Namibia, arrived at Independence Beach this morning, June 7, 2024, in Walvis Bay to commemorate World Ocean Day.

His Excellency Dr. Nangolo Mbumba, President of the Republic of Namibia, arrived at Independence Beach this morning, June 7, 2024, in Walvis Bay to commemorate World Ocean Day.

He commenced the event with a tour of the stalls showcasing various organizational efforts for ocean conservation.

The president is accompanied by esteemed guests including Deputy Minister of Works and Transport, Honorable John Mutorwa, Governor of Erongo region, Honorable Neville Andre Itope, Minister of Environment and Tourism, Honorable Pohamba Shifeta, and Minister of Fisheries and Marine Resources, Honorable Derek Klazen amongst many dignitaries.
